Balayna is a native of Alpha Centauri, with a carefree nature, warm heart, and an unrelentingly positive outlook on life. She's spontaneous, serene, a little too wild on occasion. With a free spirit, and a caring soul.

Balayna was working on Tarsus IV as a civilian geologist. She met Gabriel Lorca shortly after his arrival on planet, in one of New Anchorage's more popular taverns. They struck up a conversation that lasted well past the bar's closing. And their relationship grew from their in the following months. He spent weekends in town with her.
And then Kodos happened.
And then Kodos happened.
+ AUs
Balayna Lives!AU: The starting place for most of these AUs. Instead of dying on Tarsus IV, Balayna is never in the amphitheater to be killed at all. She's delayed in arriving there (call from a colleague? Pausing to try and reach Gabriel one more time?) and avoids the slaughter, although she pretty much witnesses it horrifically at ground level. Leaving her no doubt traumatized but that's something she needs to deal with LATER. Survival is more important.
She uses the chaos in the aftermath to do her best to avoid Kodos' people, and to stay alive, and to find Gabriel. Probably ending up injured to some degree, and probably needing to fight for her life. (Do Kodos and his people recognize her as someone that should have been in the amphitheater? Possibly.)
Mirror!verse Balayna: Mirror!Balayna is, obviously the complete and utter opposite of her Prime version in most ways. Even physically. Where Prime!Balayna has wild curls that are rarely tamed, Mirror!Balayna's curls are aggressively tamed all the time, if not outright straightened out of existence. (Should anyone see her with any sort of curls, well, that's sure to mean something.) Mirror!Balayna is cold, and cunning.
